The 1st collection of English paintings ever made hang in the rooms for which they were created. Artists represented include Iely, Turner, Lawrence and other English masters. Furniture by Gillow, Bullock and Chippendale. Includes a 17th century chapel which was moved from an island in 1927 due to brine pumping and re-erected adjacent to the house.
