Set in 175 acres of georgeous North Yorkshire parkland, just north of Ripon Lightwater Valley Theme Park, Shopping Village and Birds of Prey Centre is renowned for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

The thrilling theme park line-up comprises some amazing rides, including Europe's longest rollercoaster, The Ultimate, as well as the stomach-churning, mighty Eagle's Claw and a giant triple shoot water slike, the Fall of Terror. However, if you prefer to take things at a more leisurely pace, you can take a gentrel stroll around our picturesque lake, enjoy a relaxing game of crazy golf or just climb aboard the Lightwater Express for a roung-the-park train ride.

Located in the grounds of Lighwater Valley Theme park, you'll also find our awe-inspiring Birds of Prey Centre. Established to raise awareness of a wide selection of breath-taking birds, this facility offers a truly unique experience. As well as having possibily the largest Golden eagle in Englands, you can come along and learn about every aspect of the birds' life and care. Visitors also have the opportunity to see how there amazing birds birds are trained and handled, as well as being treated to dramatic flying shows at 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm every day. Why not volunteer to pull on a gauntlet and allow our trained raptors to land on your arm or even have your photo taken whilst holding Gizmo, the little owl which can fit in the palm of your hand?

Also within the Lightwater Valley Bird of Prey Centre is the Creepy Crawly Cave - feel the shivers down your spine as you come face-to-face with snakes, a tarantula, frogs, toads, rats and even Australian Bearded Dragons! Likewise, are you brave enought to handle Murply, our 10 foot Burmese Pythoon>
