We are happy to discuss your garden design requirements with you. If you like our designs and structures why not commission us to make any of the following?:

We also do: Fencing, Hedging, landscaping, raised beds etc.

5. Children's Cottage with table & Bench and Toys

We have a Children's Cottage with toys where children can play. We also have boules, deck quoits and a croquet set. New for 2009 we have a Children's Quiz Sheet and trail.

We do small refreshments and drinks for children. We have set up a new vegetable plot next to the Children's Cottage so you can watch our progress. It is here that we grow Sun Flowers to see how tall they will grow. (Last year's were well over 3 metres!)

6. Angel Gardens is Vibrant with Colour and Shape all Year Round

Winter/Spring: In January the snowdrops are flowering. There are primulas and hellebores and some heathers in flower. Next come the crocuses followed by the first Azaleas and Camelias. By the first day of Spring (March 21st) the daffodils and Narcissi are flowering and carry on for at least 6 weeks. Then come the rhododendrons (of which we have a large collection) together with the tulips. By April/May the rockeries are a riot of colour.

May/June: The large lake spanned by a Willow Pattern bridge is a hive of activity by May with croaking frogs and toads and thousands of tadpoles emerging. Numerous fish are coming up to bask in the warm water. The heron is trying his luck and the kingfisher visits at tea time. Through the lych gate (our creation) at the top of the cottage gardens can be seen huge heads of the pink and purple maturs rhododendrons and the pink and white lillac flowering in the Fernery.

Summer: Visitors can enjoy refreshments while overlooking the large lake where the water lilies and irises are in flower or relax on the Chinese Swing (our creation) while overlooking the lower pool with its running water flowing gently in and its marsh marigolds, irises, montbretias, Chines Rhubarb, grasses, mimulus, astilbes and primulas denticulata.

Exotic plants comprising gingers, New Zealand Flax, tree Fern, trachycarpus, cordylines, Banana plants thrive.

Autumn/Winter: The myriad of herbaceous perenials -salvias, penstemmons, achilleas, bergamots, cone flowers together with roses and lilies flower well into October. Penstemmons, lilies and some clematis are going well until the first frost. In November Angel Gardens is still bright with the red, orange, purples and yellow hues of the acers.

The clipped evergreens and topiary and photinia hedging are always a delight.

Facilities:

Parking: There is ample parking for cars and small minibuses. NO Coaches please.

Toilet: There is a Visitors' Toilet with hygienic washing facilities.

Accessibility: Not suitable for wheelchairs but parts of the garden are accessible to persons of limited mobility. There are flat areas and gentle slopes and plenty of seats and resting places. The large covered gazebo is the same level as the car park and we will gladly serve refreshments in the gazebo to less mobile people.

Children: Children are welcome. There are lower priced children's refreshments, a children's cottage (owner designed and built) to play in. Please keep children under adult supervision at all times because of water and steps.

Refreshments: The Pavilion Tea Rooms are open throughout regular Opening Times and provide comfortable seating at tables. In fine weather refreshments can be enjoyed outside at the many tables overlooking the lake. A variety of homemade lunches, afternoon teas and drinks is available.

Groups/parties: Groups or parties are welcome to book a visit outside normal Opening Times and a range of catering is then offered.

Groups can of course come in normal opening Times if they wish.
