Set in the spectacular scenery of the Peak District, the Blue John Cavern and Mine have been Castleton's greatest attraction for nearly 300 years and the main source of its unique mineral, Blue John stone. The water-worn caves are of entertaining and geological interest for all ages. A large range of Blue-John jewellery, hand-set in silver and 9ct gold is available in the shop at the entrance. Light refreshments, sweet, coffee, tea etc and giftware is also available. Road side parking close to the entrance.
