A timber-framed medieval long hall whose jetty overhangs 'The cobbles' below in such a way as to need propping up on 'Crutches'. The collections reflect the history of Bishops Castle from 1086, when the Normans established a castle anda plantation town here, through to the early part of this century. Many of the objects on display have played a colourful role in the making of this small Marches town.
