Wroxeter Roman Vineyard was planted in 1991. It nestles in the foothills of the Wrekin on a sandy plateau of the Roman City of Viroconium, enjoying a special micro-climate. The vineyard is 4 miles East of Shrewsbury on the B4380 Shrewsbury to Ironbridge Road. Follow the brown signs.

The vineyard has a large shop selling our locally grown wines which include white, red, rose and sparkling, all to a quality standard. The wines have achieved international recognition and the vineyard and wines rank in the top number of vineyards in the UK. Many other local products are also sold in the Vineyard shop. Visitors and customers can enjoy the tranquillity of the vineyard and enjoy an experience similar to other vineyards throughout the world.

Customers are welcome to stroll around the vineyards and soak up the atmosphere of this peaceful Shropshire scene. Free wine tasting is available in the shop and customers are welcome to enjoy a glass of wine. Light refreshments are also available either in the shop cafe area or at any of the picnic areas around the vineyards.

Group tours are organised to customer's requirements and offer an explanation of the history of the location, explanations of the vineyards and wine growing, of the winery and the equipment used and tutored tastings. Light refreshments are also available. We offer a flexible package tailored to customer's requirements.

The vineyard is on a level site and is suitable for wheel chair access and have disabled facilities.

There is ample free parking and coaches are welcome by appointment.
