Dunwich Heath Coastal Centre and B
Remnant of the once extensive Sandling Heaths and one of Suffolk's most important nature conservation areas. Many excellent walks and access to beach.
Tucked away on the Suffolk coast, Dunwich Heath offers you peace and quiet and a true sense of being at one with nature. A rare and precious habitat, the Heath is home to special species such as the Dartford warbler, nightjar, woodlark, ant-lion, adders and much more.
Quiet and serene, wild and dramatic, this is an inspiring visit, whatever the time of year. From July to September, the Heath is alive with colour, a patchwork of pink and purple heather and coconut scented yellow gorse is an unmissable experience. Note: parking restrictions may operate at times of extreme fire risk.

Exploring: Follow a way marked trail.
-Inspiring walks linking beach and heath.
-SeaWatch lookout - spot porpoise, seals and birds.
-See the scarce Dartford warbler.
-Self drive and chauffeured mobility vehicles.

Eating and shopping: award winning tea room, local produce, children's menu. Coastal themed gifts in the shop. Holiday in our three cliff top flats or a village cottage. Eat outside and enjoy beautiful coastal views.

Making the most of your day: guided walks, family nature trails, tracker packs, smugglers and history trails, tea room, wildlife identification charts and telescopes. Dogs allowed, although restrictions apply (see notices).
