An award-winning museum housed in the original Garrett works buildings including the Grade II listed Long Shop built in 1852 as the 1st production line for portable steam engines. Two hundred years of local, social and industrial history. The 1st production line to the 1st woman doctor. Richard Garrett and Sons built everything from steam engines and aeroplanes to children's toys. Six exhibition halls, resource centre, picnic garden and gift shop. The museum with something for everyone.
