This 7th century Saxon chapel was built by St Cedd. Services on Suns 18.00 hrs Jul & Aug, pilgrimage 1st Sat in July. The chapel is reached by walking along a 400 metre track. Please call us for guided tours for groups.
Built by St Cedd of Lindisfarne in AD654, this Saxon chapel is always open and offers a small exhibition about its history and a bookstall. Evening services are held every Sun during Jul and Aug at 18.30. Disabled visitors by arrangement. The annual ecumenical worship is on the 1st Sat of Jul. Weekly Eucharist Wednesday 08.00.
