Fascinating items from all around the world. Corn dollies, plain and dyed marquetry, Swiss straw lace, plaits, embroidery, jewellery and quilling. Courses are available.

The versatility of straw is shown in marquetry, embroidery, straw stars, Swiss straw lace and dyed straw marquetry. The pictures are often mistaken for oil paintings. Many people are familiar with corn dollies but the term covers a vast selection of creative work. The museum also features some older crafts such as quilling, tatting, beadwork and parchment craft. Courses in all areas of straw work and other crafts are envisaged.
