Museum is located in the Bakehouse Centre, adjacent free car park and Tarka trail. Collection includes numerous old photographs and artefacts reflecting the agricultural and maritime history of the village, especially the Great Field, one of the 2 remaining examples of open strip farming. The new museum, opened in c1997, uses some of the latest technology to enable students and researchers to delve into Braunton's fascinating history. Well-stocked shop with range of unique items.
