Durlston Country Park is a gateway to England's first natural World Heritage Site. Durlston has been awarded The Green Flag Award since 2006 (http://www.greenflagaward.org.uk/winners/GSP001282/). The combination of geology and accessible wildlife making Durlston a very special place to visit. Durlston is a 100 hectare paradise, consisting of sea cliffs, countryside, limestone downland, haymeadows, hedgerows and woodland. With fabulous views, unrivalled geology, 400plus species of plant, 250 species of bird, 34 species of butterfly and much more. The Visitor Centre has live underwater sounds, cliff camera, videos, exhibits. Theme trails and guided walks. Free access, parking charge. Education sessions (please book). Cafe on site has fantastic views across the sea. Disabled access - please phone for details - but a "Tramper" is available to hire around the site.
