Tudor and Jacobean half-timbered houses displaying the social history, folklore crafts and industries of the city and county. Civil war armour, toys and games, agriculture, Severn fishing, kitchen equipment, model steam engines, cobbler's workshop, school room c1900. Pin factory with 18thC forge in situ. Reconstructed 'Double Gloucester Dairy', wheelwright and carpenter workshops and ironmonger's corner shop in new extensions, with regular exhibitions, also demonstrations, activities and events. Also has attractive cottage garden and courtyard.
