A fine Grade I Listed medieval and Elizabethan house lying in the water meadows near the confluence of the rivers Cerne and Frome. It was much embellished around c1560. It has magnificent carved oak panelling, splendid plaster ceilings, grand fireplaces and unique stone great stairs. There are fine pictures and furniture for the 17thC. Medieval gatehouse has 2 unmarked and older towers. Cider house.
