Emsworth Museum, a local independent museum, holds collections of the works of P.G. Woodhouse and Sir Peter Blake. It also depicts the life of a bustling fishing port, farming and commercial centre.
J D Foster’s oyster smacks, designed like racing yachts, ruled the seas in the late 19th century, until disaster struck.
One of the smallest oyster boats “Terror” has been restored and will sail in Emsworth harbour this year. Visit her and the museum, as well as, following the heritage trail around the town centre.
