This ground breaking studio of worldwide renown is now recognised as the most important and longest established commercial studio glass maker in the country. Established in 1973 by international glass maker Michael Harris it is now run by his eldest son Timothy Harris, who is also recognised as the most accomplished and innovative studio glass maker this side of the Atlantic including most of Europe.

A great new enterprise by Isle of Wight Studio Glass has been the opening of their new outlet in Godshill. This offers the convenience of shopping for those special gifts which 'go on giving'. A full range of both Isle of Wight Studio Glass and other fabulous, and inexpensive, glass gifts are available.

Now run as 'Isle of Wight Studio Glass at the Herb Cottage Gallery' this special showcase venue has all the wonderful items which,which are also available by visiting the studio in St.Lawrence.

The Godshill Gallery will be open over Christmas but closed on the 25th, 26th & 27th. December but will re-open for the post Christmas week and then close again for the winter 1st.Jan. 2010 ~ 28th.Feb.2010 inclusive (re-opening on 1st. March 2010) .

This year the Studio in St.Lawrence will continue their special Christmas Hospitality Day on Saturday December 5th by offering FREE non alcoholic mulled wine, mince pies, teas & coffee for all visitors. We look forward to welcoming you.

As a special feature at the Studio in St.Lawrence our continuing most popular event of 'Blow a Glass Bubble' will also be offered FREE on the last pre-Christmas opening day of 21st. December (normally charged at £5 per person).

The Studio in St.Lawrence will be closed from the 22nd December and re-open on the 4th January 2010.

For those who want something which you may never normally get the chance to do in a lifetime you can take it a stage further and learn to 'Make you own Paperweight'. You will be fully guided and instructed by one of our experienced glassmakers and will have, to keep, your very own paperweight. Full instruction and materials £75.
