A 13thC church equipped with modern heating, lighting and sound systems, yet which retains many original features. The rood screen (c1320) is one of the oldest in England and linenfold panelling in the chancel is 16thC. Note also the table tombs of Thomas Quartermain and Geoffrey Dormer and the ornate alabaster tomb to Lord John Williams and his first wife, Elizabeth. Church interior restored in 1991 to accommodate modern worship, concerts and dramatic performances.
