House built in 1792 by Latrobe, White House architect and now being restored. The interior contains varied furniture, a copy of the Elgin marbles and musical instruments.

The first house built by Latrobe, the architect of the White House in Washington. It achieved infamy in the hands of the rock group Led Zeppelin in the 1970s and is now a family home which has been largely restored together with the parkland. The hall has been decorated by a leading European muralist and the original gilt decoration of the Grand Ballroom is being restored. Two pipe organs, pianos and concerts bring the house to life. School visitors enjoy the copy of the Parthenon Frieze
