The Museum of the Royal Army Chaplains' Department reopened in its new location at Amport House in September 2001, after being in storage for over five years. Previously it had been located at Bagshot Park, the home of Army Chaplains' since 1946.
The Museum displays cover six themes: Faith in Captivity; Celebrating the Faith; Faith in Service of Peace; Faith under Fire; Faith in Uniform and Teaching the Faith.
Displays include poignant Far East POW items, Church plates and furnishings, uniforms and the stories of the four chaplains who have been awarded the Victoria Cross.
Admission is free.
