There are exhibits covering local, social and military history of the Felixstowe area.
The museum is housed in the Ravelin block adjacent to Landguard Fort.
There are 14 display rooms covering local social military and nautical history including the fort, RAF station, coastal forces, Roman Felixstowe, 17thC Dutch invasion, St Audrys Mental Hospital, East coast pleasure steamers, model room, naval room, growth of the town etc. Extensive photographic and map archive reference library. Shop and tearoom. Special exhibitions for 2008 commemorating the 90th anniversaries of the formation of the RAF and the end of World War I.
