Land of Lost Content (National Museum of British Popular Culture)

When she married husband Dave in 1987 he promised her a museum. The first one they set up was in a redundant church in West Sussex in 1991. It was a good start, and the expansion moved them on once again 4 years later. After 12 year successful years they were eager to bring the collection, lock stock and jukebox back to the Midlands.The Land of Lost Content took Stella and Dave a year of intensive removals and installation to arrive at the museum as it stands today. The museum to end them all, that's what they hope is the case! It tells our recent history like it really was, but also adds a spark of poetry to the past.Stella's installations bristle with nostalgia.  Costume, Food and Drink, Schooldays, Holidays, Film, TV, Radio etc. You will see all we enjoyed and all we endured. Each display speaks volumes in Craven Arms Old Victorian Market Hall.Group rates also available.  Evenings available for groups inclusive of food and quiz, £8 per head. 


'Icons Cafe' is on the upper ground floor and can be accessed independently of Museum entrance.  Snacks, cakes and light lunches are available. Scone tea inclusive visits are offered to groups.
