The building itself was subsequently remodelled in the 17th and 18th centuries and features an impressive Georgian courtroom with ornate plasterwork by Giuseppe Cortese. There is also a Magistrates' Room with original 17th Century furniture and an elegant Mayor's Parlour with a silver collection dating back over several centuries.
A programme of exhibitions in the Community Museum also explores Beverley's fascinating history.
