Situated in the picturesque village of Ripley, All Saints is inextricably linked with the Ingilby family of Ripley Castle and contains two fine Ingilby effigy tombs and an interesting collection of hatchments. The south door dates from the 14th century and part of the original rood screen survives. Later additions include an impressive stencilled wagon-roof ceiling over the chancel and much fine Victorian glass. The churchyard contains the base of a unique mediaeval 'weeping cross' and bullet holes are visible in the church wall from when Cromwell executed Royalist prisoners.
