Possibly built from funds given by the government to commemorate the Battle of Waterloo, St Cuthbert's opened in 1827 and replaced a 13th century church. Built of local stone, and vaguely Early English in style, the lancet-style windows have three lights except for the four-light east window, which contains glass by Capronnier of Brussels. Points of interest include a 15th century bell and interesting benefaction boards.
Service times: Sun 1030 Holy Communion/Family Eucharist; Wed 1000 Holy Communion.
