This fine, individual and interesting church was built in 1871 - 1873 by G.E. Street for Sir Tatton Sykes II in a lovely setting on the edge of the village. The north aisle was added by Temple Moore in 1893. St Peter's contains good glass by Burlison and Grylls and has stunning, richly painted roofs, decorated with stylised flowers and embellished with stars in relief.
