In the heart of London, just steps from Trafalgar Square, is Benjamin Franklin House. For nearly sixteen years between 1757 and 1775, Dr Benjamin Franklin - scientist, diplomat, philosopher, inventor, Founding Father of the United States and more - lived behind its doors. The house will open to the public for the first time from 17 January 2006. The house offers visitors the historical experience of the life and times of Franklin as well as a Student Science Centre and a Scholarship Centre.
