The Oak Tree Inn dates back to the 1700s and was once a small Manor House belonging to the Liddel family. Sir Henry Thomas Liddel was MP for North Durham from 1837-1847. There is evidence of medieval remains and there are connections with many prominent families.

The Inn itself has beautifully furnished bedrooms including a 4-poster suite for that special occasion. The Old Coach House set in the gardens has been converted into 2 self-contained rooms with their own private entrance.

The Oak Tree is renowned for its excellent full Northumbria breakfast which is freshly cooked to order at a time to suit you.

If you are looking for accommodation with a difference at a realistic price then look no further.
