Warkworth is watched over by its famous castle and cradled by a loop of the River Coquet on the Northumberland Coast – a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Scenes from Shakespeare's play Henry IV are set in the Castle. Our central marble staircase was once owned by Queen Caroline, wife of George IV and came originally from Brandenburg House in London.
We take particular pride in our food and drink, featuring quality locally-sourced produce and cooked to order on the premises by our chefs. Regular events include our Spotlight on Seafood weekends, the Pudding Club. We have a well-chosen wine list offering exceptional value and featuring around a dozen wines available by the glass, including Champagne.
