Tatton Park Gardens voted one of Britain’s Best!

Tatton Park are delighted to announce that its historic gardens have been voted the 'Number 1' garden in Central England by readers of Gardeners’ World Magazine.

This prestigious Readers' Choice award was voted for by thousands of visitors taking part in the magazine’s '2 for 1' gardens visit offer. Tatton shares this accolade with other much-loved gardens in Great Britain, including winners the Eden Project (South West England) and the Royal Botanic Garden (Edinburgh).

Tatton's gardens are almost a collection of gardens within a garden. The 50 acres of gardens enjoy year round colour and are some of the most impressive in Britain. Each generation of Egerton family has added features to the gardens, so they now represent over 200 years of garden and design history.

There are many different aspects to be enjoyed: notable features include the Italian Garden,

Topiary, Maze, Fernery and Rose Garden. The stylish Japanese Garden is one of the finest in Europe and the Walled Kitchen Garden produces quality fruit and vegetables of historic varieties available for sale in the Garden Shop. The recently restored pinery will soon start to produce pineapples for the first time in over 100 years.
