The Durant Arms is owned and run by Graham and Eileen Ellis, a couple who believe there will always be a market for true British hospitality.

Situated in the heart of the South Hams village of Ashprington we are listed in the AA guide, The Good Food Guide, The AA 500 Best Bed and Breakfasts in England. The Durant Arms also has been awarded the coveted AA rosette for its food.
Graham and Eileen Ellis aim to provide a very high standard of their cuisine, which is all freshly cooked to order, with a wide variation of fresh meat and fish.
All our food is cooked freshly everyday, the vegetables are steamed from fresh and all produce is obtained from local sources in the area.

We boast English wines from the local Sharpham Vineyard. This is only fifteen minutes walk away from The Durant Arms and is open to the public for visiting and wine tasting. On a lovely day why not take a packed lunch and enjoy a couple of hours tranquility by the beautiful River Dart.
The Durant Arms is situated close to the River Dart Valley in the Heart of South Hams. Just two miles from Ashprington is the Elizabethan Town of Totnes.
