The Appleby Frodingham Railway Preservation Society was formed in 1990 with the aim of preserving the railway heritage of the area of Scunthorpe just south of the Humber. The society presently has about 60 members and has 2 diesel locomotive, 3 steam locomotives along with several items of rolling stock.

All our railtours are operated free of charge and we rely on donations to continue our work. The railway is are based on the Scunthorpe site of Corus, one of the worlds major metals companies.
