Arreton Manor is a listed early Jacobean Manor House set in 5 acres of formal gardens, steeped in history once owned by Edward the Confesser and is specifically mentioned in the will of King Alfred the Great. Queen Victoria often visited the Manor and is reputed to have planted a conifer on the south lawn.
The beautiful landscaped gardens and part of the house are open to the public for the peak summer months only. We offer a guided tour through some of the rooms in the Manor including The Old Court Rooms. Arreton Manor was farmed by the Abbots of Quarr for over 400 years from 1156.
There are many features in the garden to appreciate and the ongoing development means there is always something new to see.
When the house is open to the public we offer a licensed play area for children. There is also a large tea/coffee shop overlooking the back garden which has a charming well and patio area.
Arreton Manor is a family home full of vitality and interest with an insight into the past.
