Over 30 members of the Sussex Guild have come together as a co-operative to run and operate the Shop located in the historic Southover Grange in Lewes. The designer-makers produce work in a very wide range of disciplines, varying from highly crafted woodwork and metalwork through to exciting and unusual textile work to innovative jewellery and ceramics...there is something to suit every taste. The standard of the work is high, because each Guild applicant has to undergo a rigorous selection procedure. The criteria for selection encompass originality and innovation, good craftmanship and excellence of design. The Guild aims to inspire and encourage public appreciation of high quality handmade work.
