Upton Marina

Upton Marina is in a beautiful garden setting near the attractive and popular Upton upon Severn. Lying on the mighty River Severn, Britain's longest river, the Marina is south of historic Worcester and north of Tewkesbury.

Upton Marina offers secure pontoon and bank-side moorings for all types of craft, with hard-standing storage space and visitors berths, where you may take advantage of all the facilities you would expect from a large, well-equipped, modern marina.

Cruising the Severn opens up a wide variety of itineraries since it stretches 58 miles from Sharpness to Stourport and forms part of the Avon Ring linking Worcester and Birmingham, Staffordshire and Worcestershire canals. It is possible to reach Stratford-upon-Avon and moor up opposite the Shakespeare Theatre. In fact there is hardly anywhere in the country that cannot be reached from Upton upon Severn by inland waterways.

For more adventurous cruising southwards, it is a day's run to the Bristol Channel and open waters. The river is beautiful and secluded in summer, but in winter water levels can rise 15ft or more and is of course famous for the Severn Bore.

Opposite the Marina lies Upton upon Severn, a delightful town with a wealth of fascinating old timbered Tudor and early Georgian buildings. It is also packed with good pubs and shops. Upton upon Severn is also used as a venue for local music festivals and inland waterway rallies, there is always plenty going on.

On site there is a chandlers and marine service department, a boat sales department and a bar and restaurant.
