Known as the ?King of Holderness, it is one of five largest and grandest parish churches of the East Riding. Built from the late 12th to early 14th centuries, the quality and scale of the fabric reflects the prosperity of Hedon as a medieval port. The large east window and the 129ft central tower were added in the 15th century. Restored by G. E. Street 1868-77. It has an excellent 14th-century font and plenty of Victorian stained glass.
