The park is in close proximity to the beaches, harbours and coves of St Austell Bay, and is an ideal base from which to explore the local fishing villages of Mevagissey and Fowey, and the nearby historic and tiny port of Charlestown.

The little port of Charlestown has a charm of its own and is the home of the sailing ships used in a number of films and documentaries. Here you will find the Shipwreck and Heritage Centre and a variety of places to eat.
