"A ring a ring o' roses, A pocket full of posies, Atishoo! Atishoo! We all fall down"

The Ring O' Roses is a 17th century Inn steeped in history and intrigue. It takes its name from the old nursery rhyme recalling the time of the 'Black Death' which devastated the original village of Holcombe.

Nestling in the Mendip Hills, meandering lanes, windswept walks, it is an unexpected hidden treasure not to be missed. Sarah and Richard extend you a warm welcome.

Restored and revitalised, our Country Inn is packed with atmosphere and antiques. The bedrooms are spacious and tastefully furnished, all with private bathrooms. Twin and double rooms all en suite.

Relax and read the papers by the log fire. Sample real ale and fine wines and enjoy creative and interesting dishes in the bar and restaurant. Sit in our pleasing garden, enjoying superb views across the fields toward Downside Abbey.

An ideal touring base close to Bath, Bristol and Wells, with so many attractions to suit all tastes. Whether you are interested in sightseeing, history, shopping, walking, fishing, bird watching or taking a well earned rest.
