The Royal Inn

This fully refurbished freehouse together with its recently built 17 bedroom extension, provides a very high standard of both comfort and quality.
The Royal Inn, already a popular drinking hole and place to dine for locals and visitors has been tastefully renovated to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
The bar area has slate floors and a large open fire, where we serve a selection of local cask ales as well as a full range of beers lagers, ciders, wines, spirits and soft drinks.
A range of hot beverages are available during normal opening hours, and bar snacks are served at both lunchtimes and in the evening.
The restaurant has been extended by a spacious sunlit conservatory as well as a heated patio area. The bar snack and restaurant menu are very extensive and daily specials are available which reflect seasonal delicacies including fresh local fish. All of our dishes are freshly prepared and cooked to order and we endeavour to cater for all tastes including vegetarians and children.
The accommodation provides high quality luxurious bedrooms at competitive prices; all bedrooms offer full-ensuite facilities, TV, refreshment trays and comfortable seating. We also have two rooms with four poster beds and a room specifically designed for the needs of guests in wheelchairs.
Marble floors and a glass roofed atrium enhance the feeling of light and space.
