A warm welcome and friendly atmosphere awaits you at this lovely farmhouse overlooking Totnes and its surrounding countryside. Only 1 mile from this historic town with its narrow streets, ancient buildings and friendly individual shops ranging from the traditional to the unusual, which reflects the character of this lovely Elizabethan town. Why not visit the craft and antique markets for a unique memento of your stay in Totnes.

The 480 acre dairy and sheep farm is part of the Duke of Somerset's Estate, which is also near the village of Berry Pomeroy, famous for its haunted castle! The fields and lanes run down to the banks of the River Dart.

This is an ideal centre for visiting Dartmoor, Torbay and the beautiful coast and villages of South Devon. There are many tourist attractions, with a trip on the River Dart by steamer to Dartmouth a must for visitors. Castles, steam railways, National Trust Properties, leisure centres and golf courses are within easy reach. For keen walkers the South Devon Coastal Path is breathtaking both for views and steep inclines.

Our large Victorian farmhouse has full central heating and is furnished and decorated to a high standard to provide comfortable accommodation in double, twin and triple rooms. The spacious bedrooms are colour co-ordinated and contain vanity units, beverage facilities, shaverpoints, hairdryers, alarm clocks, chairs, TVs and little extras to make your stay a 'home from home'. The twin room has en suite WC and wash basin. An iron, ironing board and shoe cleaning kit are also available for guest's use. Double room with private bathroom.

The two bathrooms's have WC, basin, bath and walk in shower units. Separate WC.

Guests have the use of a lounge with colour television, or on warm evenings the garden in which to sit and relax.

Traditional farmhouse breakfasts with a varied menu are served in the dining room, which overlooks the garden and fields. Vegetarians and special diets can be catered for. Evening meals are by arrangements and include roast meats, steak and kidney pie, pork in cider, beef in ale and salmon. British and fresh local foods are used to produce quality farmhouse cuisine. Featured in "Guide to Good Food in the West Country 2000". Alternatively sample the local cuisine served in the varied restaurants and pubs of Totnes and the local villages.

Plenty of parking is provided outside the house.

We regret that no dogs or smoking are allowed in the house.
