Poles Coppice is an attractive ancient oak woodland with disused quarry workings. There are substantial colonies of orchids on site and a wide range of ancient woodland plants.The site provides quiet circular walks with tremendous views across Pontesbury and the Rea Valley.
If you are travelling by car there is a car park at the end of Pontesbury Hill Road; alternatively there is a car park and picnic area off Callow Lane, the road between Minsterley and Habberley, with access on foot to Poles Coppice.
