Return tickets valid all day, at least 6 trains a day from Mar to Nov and many more in summer. Also operate most winter weekends, Christmas holidays and February half term. Lots for children to do with 'La'al Ratty - the water-vole stationmaster'. Cycle Trail, with special carriages for bikes and cycle hire at Dalegarth Station. Many detailed walks including Wainwright's 'Walks from Ratty' and 'Steam and Ramble' a walk calling at every station on route.
Fellbite's cafe at Dalegarth and Jan's at Ravenglass both specialise in home baking and Cumbrian flavours with flair. The Scafell gift shop at Dalegarth, has the widest selection of stock for miles around including leather goods, sheepskin, china and glass.
