The first floor of the cottage is exclusively for the use of guests, available to rent either as a suite of rooms or just one of the bedrooms together with the sitting room and bathroom. Both the twin-bedded and double bedrooms are tastefully furnished and equipped to a high standard. The beds are made with crisp white linen and goose down duvets. The guests sitting room has TV, DVD and video and a good selection of books and magazines. Internet access is also available. The spacious bathroom features a separate shower cubicle with power shower, a large bath, fluffy white towels and luxury toiletries. Delicious breakfasts are served in the dining room with eggs from our own free-range hens and homemade bread, jams and marmalade. Guests are welcome to use the gazebo to enjoy the magnificent views over open countryside towards Simonside (and the Cheviot Hills beyond). Wingates is a small village, situated on a no-through road surrounded by farmland. It is an ideal setting for those who wish to escape from the pressures of modern life.
