Extensive privately owned woodlands, with some areas open for public access. The woodlands have a mixture of mature trees, both evergreen and deciduous. Broughton Woods has quite level access while Twigmoor has some slopes.

Extensive privately owned woodlands, with some areas open for public access. The woodlands have a mixture of mature trees, both evergreen and deciduous. Broughton Woods has quite level access while Twigmoor has some slopes. In Twigmoor Woods there are ?gull ponds and a fine collection of rhododendrons. Both are havens of quiet tranquillity and many woodland birds can be seen and heard. Open daily. Broughton Woods close at 8pm.
