Concord Sports Centre is a large and busy multi-purpose facility which was officially opened on 1st November 1975. Although a Community Based Facility, Concord has hosted many Regional and International events for training and competitions.
After a £1.3 million investment, the centre now boasts brand new health and fitness facilities with sauna, steam, sunbed and beauty therapy. Other facilites include 2 pools, 2 sports halls, refurbished fitness suite and dance studio, 4 squash courts, 9 floodlit outdoor 5 a side football synthetic pitches and a new full size floodlit 3G pitch available for 11 a side or 7 a side matches. Meeting rooms and newly refurbished catering facilities are also available.
