The skatepark is one of the largest concrete skateparks in the North of England and contains unique design elements which cannot be found elsewhere in the country. It is capable of holding events at local, regional and nationa levels.

Gasworx will include a supervised facility for skateboarding, rollerblading and BMX biking. Plans to further develop the site include a multi-use games area which will have a synthetic grass surface and host a number of sports and activities including football, tennis, hockey etc. Facilities are fenced, floodlight and landscaped. Other facilities will include a chill out room, skate shop and snack shop. Spectators are welcome. Facilities will be available for private hire ie kids parties. Membership will be available.
