Dulverton’s Guildhall Heritage and Arts Centre opens again on 10th April after a short winter break. The centre is open every day from 10am to 4.30pm and, this year, it offers a special exhibition celebrating the Red Deer of Exmoor.
The Centre also boasts some state-of-the-art technical equipment in the Archive Room, and visitors can listen to short samples of the Exmoor Oral History recordings using an old fashioned telephone, see film clips from Dulverton Camera Club’s archive material, using a touch screen, and access the Exmoor Oral History web site for those wishing to carry out further research. The room also hosts the Exmoor Photographic Archive by Michael Deering, with hundreds of photos from the past, catalogued according to many Exmoor villages.
The Gallery has a fine reputation with visiting and local artists enjoying excellent facilities to portray their arts and crafts.
