A magnificent Queen Anne house dating from 1702 set in delightful rural Northamptonshire. It is reputed to be the pattern for Jane Austen's Mansfield Park.

The Woolavington Collection of sporting pictures at Cottesbrooke is possibly one of the finest of its type in Europe. Also to be found are portraits, bronzes, 18th Century English and French furniture and fine porcelain.

In the formal gardens, huge 300 year-old cedars set off magnificent double herbaceous borders, pools and lily-ponds. The Wild Garden is a short walk across the park and is planted along the course of a stream.

Winner of the HHA/Christie's Garden of the Year Award 2000.
