The building had some use as a storage place but was then neglected for nearly 40 years. The Station Building was restored in 2003/4 and was opened as The Bovey Tracey Heritage Centre on 10th of April 2004.
The Centre is run entirely by volunteers and is funded by grants, donations, bequests, sales and local fund raising events.
