Salisbury is one of the few cities in the country to celebrate England’s patron saint, St George, and this year's main events will take place on Sunday 26 April. Celebrations in previous years have included dragon re-enactment, battling knights, medieval themed street entertainment, morris and maypole dancers, a farmers’ market and lots more to entertain the whole family. With traditional sweets, fairground rides and other interesting stalls, Salisbury really is worth visiting. Businesses and local community groups all get involved, helping to increase activity every year.
