Springroyd House is in a good position for visitors to enjoy acitivites e.g. walking on the wide netowrk of footpaths. Grasswood is nearby and also the old lead mine workings up on the moor above the village. Stump Cross Caverns is on the B6265 approximately 5 miles from Grassington and Kilnsey Park is 4 miles up the dale. The National Park Centre is only a 5 minute walk and provides lots of information on activities, attractions etc.

We offer a wam welcome and are very used to walkers arriving on our doorstep. Being keen and experienced walkers ouselves and having lived and worked in this area for 40 years we can advise on suitable routes and should you experience wet conditions we'll soon have your clothes and boots dry again.

Grassington is an interesting, attractive village with a wide variety of shops and four hotels which all provide good food and beers. Springroyd is only a couple of minutes walk from the village square. Regular buses cover journeys to Skipton, Ilkley and up Wharfedale.
